Huge Success - AMF 1170 QRV Coastguard Vessel Launched!

   Purpose designed as another Coastguard quick response vessel, the 1170 is powered by twin Cummins 480 Hp engines driving twin Hamilton 322 jet units and using the Blue Arrow control system for slow speed accurate manoeuvering.  Top speed is 40 knots and the delivery trip form Tauranga to Napier was completed in 12 hours with a half hour fuel stop in Gisborne.

AMF Stanley Bay Steamer is a 9.1M old style (althought a brand new design) made from the latest high tensile Selium Aluminium, giving top strength without the added weight.  Powered by a Honda 135Hp outboard engine, the very stable AMF Vintage series boat is bound for the Marlborough Sounds as a private commuter boat.

For a large boat and a small engine the Vintage AMF produced astounding performance in both speed, ride and manouverability!  A stunning little performer!
